"Morning Flight In" - Each morning we watched the Brown Pelicans fly in from the west end of the island.
This Great Egret has just taken flight--leaving this salt marsh in search of, well, who knows really. Could it be for a better fishing spot, a safe shelter for the night, in search of a mate or back to a nest to care for newly hatched chicks.? Fly away then! I hope you find what you seek.
To caputre the original photo, I sat in the wet sand and scooted along until I could get a better angle of view. A texture treatment gave this image a final boost.

A Titmouse is quick little bird, flitting from one place to the next. This one paused for just a second to grab a seed and I squeezed off a few frames.
